Will a 30-pin Dock to 3.5mm iPod cable charge the iPod if it is plugged into the MP3 connection in a car?

I’m about to purchase a car with this connection in the center console between the driver and front passenger seats. I’m just wondering if I buy a 30-pin Dock to 3.5mm cable will the iPod be charged while music is being played? 2008 Mazda 3 if it helps.

no it won’t. it will allow you to play the songs but wont charge the ipod or sync with it. If you want it to charge get an i-simple peripheral adapter.
