Is there an aftermaket car receiver with ipod input that allows you to play with the ipod and access songs?

Any car receiver/ ipod receiver I see, they only allow you to access playlists. I want to be able to choose songs individually. Is there any out there.
Yes, there are aftermarket players that have ipod ports, but they say that you can only access playlists and not songs individually.

I plug my iPod into the Aux-In port and just use the iPod to select what I want. I doubt there are any aftermarket players today that do not have Aux-In plugs.
